Delee handoff extension — privacy notice
The extension fills Google's copyright form from a batch you prepared in Delee. It keeps your batches on your device, and the only thing it hands back is the fill's outcome and Google's confirmation, to Delee's own app through your own signed-in Delee tab. Last updated .
- What it stores
- Up to 20 batches, each for at most 7 days: the name of the rights holder, the name of the person authorised to act for it (which the extension types as the form's signature), the name and email address of the person filing, and for each work its title, description, the authorised URL and the infringing URLs — the values the batch screen shows you — plus the batch's Delee reference, the Delee site it came from and the time it was captured. When you open Google's form from Delee or from the extension's button, it also keeps a note of which batch to fill, for 30 minutes and only until it is used once. After a fill it keeps how many fields it filled and which labels it could not find, and after you submit, the text of Google's confirmation page and the report ID read from it — each with the batch's sender address the fill was checked against — until Delee has received them.
- Where
- In the extension's own storage in your browser (
chrome.storage.local), on the device where you captured it. The extension makes no network requests and has no server of its own. The batch itself never leaves the device. The fill's outcome and Google's confirmation are handed to the Delee page you have open, on the Delee site the batch came from, which records them on that batch under your own Delee sign-in; they go nowhere else — not to Google and not to anyone else. - Where it runs
- On Delee's app pages (
app.delee.ioandstaging.delee.io), where it reads a batch you opened and hands back the outcome above, and on Google's copyright form (reportcontent.google.com/forms/dmca), where it fills that batch into the form and reads the confirmation page that follows your submission. It reads nothing else on either site and runs on no other site. - What it does not do
- It never submits the form: it fills every field, the date and the declarations, then stops at Submit, and pressing Submit is yours. The one name it types as the signature is the one Delee holds for the rights holder. On Google's form it reads which Google account the form shows as signed in, only to compare it with the batch's sender, which the banner shows beside it. It fills — automatically or when you press Fill — only when the two are the same: never when they differ, when it cannot read the account, or when the batch names no sender. The address the form shows is itself not stored or handed to anyone, but each record the extension hands to Delee — the fill's outcome and the confirmation — names the batch's sender address it matched, so Delee can tell which account Google holds the filing under. It reads nothing else of your Google account, nor your browsing history, nor any page other than the two above. It collects no analytics and uses no cookies.
- For how long
- A batch is dropped after 7 days, or sooner when 20 newer ones have been captured, when you press Clear on the banner or in the extension's popup, or when you remove the extension. The fill's outcome and the confirmation wait on the device until Delee has received them, and are then deleted; one Delee has not received within 7 days is no longer handed over, and only the 50 newest are kept. Clear leaves them, so a filing you made is not lost before Delee hears of it; removing the extension deletes them.
